PRESS: Alfa-Bank discusses bailing out banks with cbank

MOSCOW, Dec 1 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Alfa-Bank is ready to bail out banks and has discussed the issue with the central bank’s Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina, co-owner Pyotr Aven told news daily Kommersant in an interview released on Friday.

“We are ready to become a bailout agent again, we think that we do this well, honestly and with lesser losses for the central bank than it sustains using the new mechanism,” Aven said, adding that he has received no answer so far.

The businessman did not name the banks, in which Alfa-Bank wants to invest.
